Our best-selling Iron Shelf Brackets are available in several sizes to fit your open shelving projects. What sets our brackets apart? We take extra care throughout; using locally sourced high-quality steel, precise metal bending, sanded corners, careful finishes and we even offer professional help with sizing and installation.
INCLUDES: One hand forged shelf bracket with 1" wide flat bar steel AND necessary hardware bolts for installation. Each bracket has a 6" leg wall support and 1" front lip and can hold about 75 lbs each.
BRACKET SIZING:We size our shelf supports to work with standard lumber from the hardware store as well as custom boards. Choose the bracket size closest to your exact shelf depth (example: a 7.25" wide wood shelf will use a 7.25" bracket)
FINISHES: WAXED STEEL: hand waxed with a high grade finish for a rustic steel look that leaves no residue yet resists rust POWDER COATED STEEL: professionally powder coated creating a smooth, matte finish to prevent rust and scratches (available in black or brass)
QUANTITY OF BRACKETS: For strong shelves, we suggest following these guidelines to order the correct number of brackets:
NOTE: Standard Lumber from hardware store measures less than nominal size:
2 x 4" = 1.5" x 3.5" 2 x 6" = 1.5" x 5.5" 2 x 8" = 1.5" x 7.25" 2 x 10" = 1.5" x 9.25" 2 x 12" = 1.5" x 11.25"

"I’m so glad we found this shop. We had a beautiful Doug Fir shelf from Portland Salvage Works and were looking for the brackets. Seth helped answer a couple of my questions, then shipped us the perfect ones! They look just as we’d hoped. Seth even followed through with some tips and extra screws that helped the brackets hold up perfectly on my kitchen wall. We’ll definitely be back here whenever we have a need for new brackets and shelving projects!"
