Can I use hidden brackets for an ADA-compliant countertop?
Yes, our hidden support brackets are an excellent choice for ADA-compliant countertops.
In fact, they’re often preferred because their low-profile universal design preserves the required knee and toe clearance beneath the surface - a key element of ADA compliance.
According to ADA guidelines, accessible countertops must have:
- At least 27" of vertical space from the floor to the underside of the counter
- At least 17" of horizontal knee clearance
- Free from obstructions, like like corbels or decorative legs
